Basic End of Shift
A basic End of Shift (Also known as a Z read). Some sites run one for a whole days trading & some perform one at the end of each shift.
Example:
A site opens at 7am & closes its doors at 5pm later that day, to get the days takings an End Of Shift is performed.
How to create a End Of Shift Function
1. In IPS, go to Setup > POS Screen > POS Screen Layouts.
2. Select the appropriate layout and click on Buttons button.
3. Click on any unused POS Screen button.
4. Select the function End of
Shift.
5. Enter an appropriate button caption, e.g. “End of Shift” or “Cash Declaration”.
6. Modify the button appearance as desired.
7. Click on Save button.
