This guide will go though the configuration of the Charts Property Management Interface System with the Ideal POS System 5.5.

The IdealPOS Charts Interface is a two way property management system interface. Guest charges from the restaurant or bar are instantly posted to their account, and account information such as guest name is at your finger tips to address security concerns

Please Note: To Configure CHARTS you will need to contact CHARTS helpdesk.


Configuration:

1.Order the Room Interface Module (RI) for each POS terminal you wish to post data to the Charts (PMS) System.
2.Enter your registration (Must include RI)



3.Now create a tender (eg ROOM CHARGE) function SETUP > FUNCTIONS
4.Select a tender for you “ROOM CHARGE” & select Modify
5.Enter Description, Tick Credit Function, Tick Force Receipt (Good idea to get guest to sign receipt)



6.In SETUP > GLOBAL OPTIONS under INTERFACES you will now see a Room Interface Section
7.Select Charts as your Room Interface Type
8.Enter the IP Address of the PC running Charts.
9.Port = 5531
10.Select Tender Type (eg ROOM CHARGE)



11.Now go to your Receipt Formats & configure a Name & Signature panel for the Room Charges
12.Go to Setup > POS Terminals & Modify each POS Terminal performing Room Charges
13.In the Footer Section of the Receipt enter details like below for the customer to fill out.


 

How To Use:

1.Perform Sale as per normal
2.Press ENTER
3.Tender Sale to ROOM CHARGE



4.Enter ROOM No
5.If the room is occupied it will display the GUESTS that are recorded in that room.
6.Press the NAME & the charge will be completed



Operator Messages:

Overlimit – Indicates the guest is over their limit set in CHARTS


 
Charts Posting Cancelled – Indicates the posting was cancelled by the operator


 
Vacant Room – Indicates the room is not occupied in CHARTS


 
Successfully posted transaction to Charts – Indicates the transaction was posted successfully
