RoomMaster (PMS) Interface - Configuration
This guide will go though the configuration of the RoomMaster Property Management Interface System with the Ideal POS System 5.5.
The IdealPOS RoomMaster is a oneway interface & is limited to TWO Sales Categories (eg FOOD = 1 & BEVERAGE = 2).
Please Note: To configure Room Master you will need to contact Room Masters helpdesk.
Configuration:
1.Order the Room Interface Module (RI) for each POS terminal you wish to post data to the Room Master System.
2.Enter your registration
3.In SETUP > GLOBAL OPTIONS under INTERFACES you will now see a Room Interface Section
4.Select RoomMaster as your Room Interface
5.Also enter the POS # you wish RoomMaster to collect the datafrom (eg POS 1 = 1)
6.Create a Customer Type (eg Motel Rooms) FILE > CUSTOMERS > CUSTOMER TYPES
7.Now create customers for all the rooms in your motel
8.Ensure you tick Room Interface on all the customers that are “ROOMS”
9.Create a customer button for your rooms (Customers) SETUP > POS SCREENS > POS SCREEN LAYOUTS
10.In the Customer Button enter the corresponding number with the Customer Type (eg MOTELS ROOMS = 10)
11.Now create a tender (eg ROOM CHARGE) function SETUP > FUNCTIONS
12.Select a tender for you “ROOM CHARGE” & select Modify
13.Enter Description, Tick Credit Function, Tick Force Receipt
14.Now go to your Receipt Formats & configure a Name & Signature panel for the Room Charges
15.Go to Setup > POS Terminals & Modify each POS Terminal performing Room Charges
16.In the Account Section of the Receipt enter details like below for the customer to fill out
