RMS (PMS) Interface - Configuration

The IdealPOS RMS Property Management Interface is a two way interface. Ensures your guest charges from the restaurant or bar are instantly completed and not to mention accurately – first time, every time.

Configuration:

1. Order the Room Interface Module (RI) for each POS terminal you wish to post data to the Room Master System.
2. Enter your registration (Must include RI)



3. Now create a tender (eg ROOM CHARGE) function SETUP > FUNCTIONS
4. Select a tender for you “ROOM CHARGE” & select Modify
5. Enter Description, Tick Credit Function, Tick Force Receipt
 


6. In SETUP > GLOBAL OPTIONS under INTERFACES you will now see a Room Interface Section
7. Select RMS as your Room Interface Type
8. Enter the terminal to create the Output from POS file (EG 1 = POS 1.
9. Select Tender Type (eg ROOM CHARGE)



10. Now go to your Receipt Formats & configure a Name & Signature panel for the Room Charges
11. Go to Setup > POS Terminals & Modify each POS Terminal performing Room Charges
12. In the Footer Section of the Receipt enter details like below for the customer to fill out.



13. RMS will need to configure their system to communicate with the IdealPOS Directory of the terminal configured as the Output terminal.
      (Default Location c:\Program Files\Ideal POS System 5.5)



Explaination of files invloved:

Where dd = the day expresed as a 2 digit number
Where mm = the month expresed as a 2 digit number
Where yy = the day expresed as a 2 digit number

RMSddmmyy.csv - A csv file of all the accounts in RMS, this is then read by IdealPOS to indicate which rooms are active/inactive.

SYSNETddmmyy.csv - A csv file of all Room Charges performed in IdealPOS, this is read by RMS.

Both csv files will be located in the IdealPOS folder on the Output terminal.
