Automatic Order Number - Shared Accross Multiple Terminals
Released Idealpos 6.0 Build 23
This will allow all terminals to share order numbers, essentially the order numbers will increment when the ENTER button is pressed as each terminal performs sales.
1. Go to Setup > POS Terminals
2. Modify Required POS Terminal
3. Go to the Miscellaneous TAB
4. Enter a number range in the Show Order Range - Different on each POS Terminal
(This is used in the event the terminals become disconnected from each other)
Eg POS 1 = 100 to 199
POS 2 = 200 to 299
POS 3 = 300 to 399
5. Exit & Save changes
6. Perform Steps 2 to 6 on other terminals required to function this way.
7. Now go to File > Global Options > Miscellaneous
8. Enable POS Server as per normal (Previously Referred to as Table Server before Idealpos 6.0 build 20)
9. Tick Order Numbers
10. Enter Order Number Range for POS Terminals to use (eg 1 to 99)
11. Save Changes & Exit
12. Restart All POS Terminals
