Add/Modify Clerks

How to create new clerks & modify existing clerks in the IdealPOS System.


Adding NEW or Modifying Existing Clerks

1. Go to Setup

2. Select Clerks

3a. To add a NEW Clerk, Click Add

3b. To modify existing clerk, Highlight existing Clerk & Click Modify

4. Fill in relevant information (Name & Login Code are compulsory)



Advanced setup options are:

Use POS - You can lock a Clerk to a specific POS Terminal or range by entering the POS numbers.

Use Drawer 2 - Tick this to lock the clerk to Drawer 2.

Default Price Level - Selects a default Price level for the clerk to sell Stock Items.

User Link - Is a way of quickly locking clerk permissions out. This is the recommended way to lock clerk permissions down. See Users article

Permissions - Enables you to untick/tick permissions the clerk has in the IdealPOS System.



Employee Details - Tick Use Employee log to record clerk work times. See Employee Log Article
